This is a half scale costume for The Magician in the Brother's Grimm fairytale "The Glass Coffin". The Magician's coat reflects his crystal filled cave where the coffin with the sleeping princess lies. As his magic grows while he's away in the palace so would the crystals on his coat.
This scale model represents the Magician near the final growth of his power.
It was created with calico, card, glue, acrylic paint, and pva.
